Dayton area
Who all is from the Dayton area and how about a Kilt Night? Dublin Pub downtown? The Pub at the Greene? Rugby game at Wright State?

I know Mike In Dayton is from your neck of the woods...he graces us with his presence in Columbus quite a bit.

Ok, you got my attention. I am awake now. Yes, all are good options. In Columbus we go to The Pub Polaris which is the same as the The Pub Beavercreek. I am not sure the staff at Beavercreek will be as friendly but you never know. We have a reputation at Polaris that has not been established in Beavercreek (I will leave it to your imagination if that is a good reputation or bad). Since you are in Fairborn a trip to Columbus should be possible the next time Captain Karrot and the Central Ohio group gather at the The Pub Polaris or the other fine establishments in the area.
The number of us in the Dayton area appears to be growing and it is time to have a kilt night. We just need to determine where and when.

My wife lit up when I said something about Dublin Pub. I think she'd force me to go to that one.

Dublin Pub music lineup for the next month:
3/28 Wiseblood - Rock & Blues
APRIL
4/3 ENTER THE HAGGIS - Nationally touring Celtic Rock
4/4 Powderkeg - Rock Covers
4/10 SPUNGEWURTHY - Rockstars
4/11 UNCLE RICO - memebers of Velvet Crush & 33 People
4/17 HOMELAND - Dayton's own Celtic Rock Superstars
4/18 VINEGAR HILL - Irish from Columbus
4/24 SEARSON - Nationally touring Irish Group
4/25 Dulahan - Traditional Irish from Dayton
Some of the bands such as Dulahan are very popular and will pack the place. I don't know if they do reservations (I doubt it) so you have to get there early to secure a table. Band starts playing sometime after 8pm. Let's see what the interest is. I have potential work conflicts for 3/28, 4/4, and 4/18 which I may or may not be able to work around. For a few hours I think I can get someone to cover for me.

Mike! You need to keep me in the loop! Enter the Haggis? I LOVE them! Not sure if I will be able to get away, but am definitely interested! What do they charge, and how long do you think it would take me to get there?
I heard Vinegar Hill at St. Patrick's Day up here...not bad. Pretty much a traditional group.

I will send you a PM. For anyone coming out of Columbus, OH you are looking at a little under 90 minutes travel time. After approximately 7:30pm they start charging a cover charge. Come down earlier for dinner with no cover charge and with any luck get a table.
