$241.57
With the X-marks member 10% discount, (top right corner of x-marks site), ScotWeb will make you a 5 yard, 16 ounce wool Kirk tartan kilt for $241.57. This is about the best price you are going to get anywhere because Kirk is not one of the more common tartans.
This is not a "tank" (8 yard) but it will be a valuable garment for you for decades, that you can wear to both casual and formal occasions.
From one soldier to another, Keep your head down, and God Bless.
Cheers, ColMac

Welcome, from an old Portland boy.
Do yourself a favor and deal directly with your kiltmaker. Plenty of folks will advertise that they can get your Kirk tartan made up for you from some nameless faceless kiltmaker they subcontract to.
Any kiltmaker can also advise you on what the various availabilities are for your Kirk tartan - mills, weights, etc. then order in your choice and sew it up for you. A full time kiltmaker will finish sooner than a part-time kiltmaker.
What you are buying will last a lifetime.
Enjoy the adventure and the FREEDOM!

Welcome. Two things you'll find a lot of here... current/former members of the military and kilt wearers.
