    It's Here !!!! :)

Well after a few days being offline because of a tornado ripping through town I'm finally back online and able to brag on my new kilt. It's a Balmoral traditional 8 yrd. kilt in 13 oz.
I was worried about the fabric being too light. Believe me it's not too light. Even though it's 13 oz's it's a heavy, sturdy piece of craftsmanship. I'm totally stoked about my kilt. The day I got it, I wore it to Monstermart to see how folks would react. I received some looks of course but no scowls or laughter. Anyone that I saw looking showed genuine curiosity. I had one good looking young lady stop and look me up and down and say " Hi there" lol. when I was leaving the store a little old lady grabbed my arm and said " I want to thank you. I've never seen a Scotsman in real life, just on t.v. and I've all ways wanted to meet one". Wow talk about a moral booster. Tomorrow I'm going to wear it to school. I've told myself that once a week I'll wear it to school
So here are a couple of pics of my kilt. The sporan in the pics will be heading out soon as a freeby to the gent who requested it

My wife noticed that you have tan legs- as opposed to my pasty white tree trunks...

    Nice kilt! Congrats!

    Nice looking kilt. Congratulations.

Did you have much damage from the tornado?

Congrats! I'm a huge fan of the 13 oz. kilts. You'll find them quite comfortable here in Georgia.

What tartan is that? Nevermind, I noticed your avatar. That's a Clan Cochrane tartan is it not?

I purchased the kilt from Scotweb, I highly recommend them. They sent the kilt a full two weeks ahead of schedule and were a dream to deal with.
Yes that is Clan Cochrane Modern Tartan.
Yes my legs are very tan since I wear shorts alot. Now I'll be wearing kilts alot
I didn't any damage from the tornado but the town had four tornado's touch down. Pretty much tore up downtown. Only one injury so were lucky. I happened to have been in school at the time. We were huddled in a long hallway when the twisters hit. We had our backs to the walls and we could feel the building flex under the pressure. I admite, I was a bit worried for a bit :/
