			A unique kilt pin

					Good day rabble!
 After purchasing two new kilts I needed a couple of new kilt pins to adorn them. After scouring the internet for a unique pin, I came across this...

 I had not seen anything like this before and after looking around on the site, there are plenty of more options for a pin that is not a sword (or derivation thereof). You can find this and more at.

 The Tudor Shoppe for very reasonable prices.

					Very nice! I still haven't been able to put a pin through my kilt yet. LOL I talk myself out of it every time I unclasp the needle on the pin.

	I modify all of my kilt pins by removing the pin and replacing with a rare-earth magnet. This removes the possibility of tearing the kilt if the pin catches on anything.

					Thanks for the link, I really liked the skull and swords and unicorn pins.
 I have been looking for unusual kilt pins recently and thought I'd have to give up and try swapping out a regular brooch clasp for comething heavy-duty enough to use as a kilt pin however, I found this website;
 http://www.woodlandtreasures.co.uk/kilt-pins.htm
 and have fallen in lurve! I love leather, wooden and semi-precious stone jewellery instead of the more usual metals and I think the pins would also look good as part of a ladies outfit just like some of the ones on the site you linked to!

	It's very simple and easy to do. First, you unclasp the pin. Secondly, at the location in the front apron of the kilt you have chosen, insert the pin into the cloth. Thirdly, push the pin down to almost the entire length, then poke the pin back up through the cloth. And fourthly, close the pin up in the clasp.

	It also looks like the heads in my coat of arms: "two eagles' heads respectant erased Gules beaked and eyed Azure." Of course it is difficult to tell if the eagle head pin is red with blue eyes and beak!
