    New Tartan

    this is the tartan i got designed & woven for my family name, Proctor.

    hope you like it

    It looks like a lovely combination of colors. Have you assigned any significance to the colors?

    Is Proctor a Scottish name? I had understood it to be German.

    you've mentioned this before, but i don't think theres a connection, but theres slohairts description of the name.

    as for the colours, i prefere a green tartan, with some blue, i think a crisp white stripe sets off a tartan and i liked the look of the gold stripe, i did see it with a red stripe, but it didn't look the same.

    i could've said, the green is for the fertile land of strathmore, where my family has worked on for many a century and still live, the blue it for the colour of my local football team, white for the snow falls, black for when it gets dark at night and i'd like to have some gold in my packet.

    don't think they'd want to print that
