Well, for Knoxville I know of a few...
There's the Crown and Goose (currently the ET kilties meeting place)
They're a great English style pub in the Old City down on N. Central, and they even have a Beer Garden/Patio. The menu is higher end as they claim to be a gastropub, catering to a higher pallete. You can find them at www.thecrownandgoose.com
Irish Times
I personally have not been here, but have heard that it's a good place to go, with a great selection of beers.
Union Jacks
This little pub is found on Northshore Dr. just off the Papermill exit of I-40. They boast an incredible array of worldwide beers.
Smoky Mountain Brewery
Part of the Calhoun's family of restaurants, this is their version of a micro-brew pub and pizzeria. My wife and I have been here multiple times and enjoy it every time. I like their Black Bear Stout, an the IPA, and their seasonal brew are usually worth checking out too!
In Gatlinburg:
There is another of the Smoky Mountain Brewery restaurants. Worthy of a visit.
The Fox and Parrot- a small family owned establishment, that tends to have odd hours in the off season (read not tourist season), but is a nice little place off the beaten path on the backside of Gatlinburg in the artist community. We went there a couple of years ago, and had a grand time, good beer, good fish and chips, and had a good time talking to the barkeep (who is a British ex-pat.)
If you're in the area, any of these pubs are a worthy trip.
