I was fortunate to serve with many fine mates from Australian and New Zealand while I was stationed in the Sinai Peninsula, there was NOT a one that I would not take a bullet for or buy a pint at the local pub. Have a VB or Bundy Rum for me and I will raise a glass and not my kilt on this side of the world for you all.

Was a great day with record numbers despite the weather, which was good to see, service was moving as usual and then off to the rasa (RSA) to catch up with old ship mates and scarey old gunnery instructors who used to make us tremble, was quite amusing as they were "pressing" hard for us to rejoin...

Went kilted to the service, and I think it was well recieved with kind words of support, I spotted 3 other kilties, but failed to catch up with them...

Oh, forgot they had the North Shore and Auckland pipe bands playing in the pub for about 30 mins, which was grand.

However, the "city of sails" tartan was not to my liking, came across as pink when pleated to the stripe...

Happy ANZAC Day, although I was not kilted today I was remembering the fallen Australians and New Zealanders that made the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of their country.
