Beltane in the Big Apple?
It has been suggested that a meet would be a great way to celebrate this Gaelic celebration. This year it happens to fall on a Friday, which is a great day to go out!
Who's interested in gathering? I would propose we go to the newish Scottish pub in the Lower East Side of Manhattan to break it in as a kilted mens site.

May 1st
I wish I could join you all for May 1st, but can't because my New Zealand relatives are arriving that evening.
I'm sure you'll have a great time.

I have to catch a train down from Beacon and then the subway to the lower east side. need the adress so I can figure out how to get there!

I should be able to make this; Beltane is big on the Celtic calendar! What location are you thinking of? I've been thinking that we should hit the new St. Andrew's...

It has been suggested that Saturday, the 2nd, would be a better day to meet. I'm open to it.
Plus the meet site is up for grabs. We have two nice options:
1) the new St. Andrew's Pub in midtown
2) the new Scottish pub (name unknown) in the East Village
I plan to stifle my authoritarian bent and want to hear the vox populi. So speak up, folks!

Ok, after listening to all the grumblings and whisperings of the Rabble, I hereby declare the following:
The gathering will be on Saturday, May 2nd.
Gathering will commence at 5 P.M.
The locale will be at St. Andrew's Pub. This is now located at 140 West 46th Street which is between 6th Avenue (Ave. of the Americas) and Broadway.
Reservations are recommended for this place, so I'd ask people to step up and confirm their attendence by Thursday, so that I can call them with a count. Cooperation is much appreciated.

Unfortunately, the interest in this gathering (with one notable exception) has not been there. Plus worry about the flu situation has complicated matters.
Therefore, this gathering is hereby cancelled. Let's see if more interest can be generated for the next proposed meet.
