First off

from coastal North Carolina. The generally accepted origin of Dodd(s) is the border country, where they were reivers on the English side of the border. I have been able to trace my Dodds ancestry back to County Antrim in Ireland. When James I united England and Scotland many of the border rievers were sent to the plantations in Ireland but I have not been able to trace back that far. So to honor my Dodds connection I wear County Antrim, from the Marton Mills County Crest tartans.

Rocky at USA Kilts made the Kilt.

Other alternatives (from Tartan for Me) are Fife District and Tyneside District tartans.

Another welcome from Greenville. I know that the city of Greenville has a Pipe & Drums corps, that might be a good place to contact a contract piper. There's also the Greater Greenville Highland Games coming up soon. I'm sure you could make a number of contacts there should you choose to attend.
