It's well known if something is posted on here, people will give their opinion. On a subject that touches everyone here... Pretending to be Scottish.... It's not an act to wear a kilt.. So some are not Scottish, but they do not talk with a bad Scottish accent, they do not portray themselves in another manner which will make others believe they are from Scotland. They just like to wear a kilt.. For some it's called Celtic Revivalism others is just plain comfortable.. To insinuate one is pretending is insulting... It's personal to those on a site dedicated to kilt wearing... If feelings were hurt.. It was not because these people targeted her, most on here are normally fun loving people who avoid hurting each others feelings, even when they disagree.

Please do not direct your anger at those who felt the choices they make in life are flippantly refered to as Pretending to be Scottish.

And it's good you feel you have to defend your friend.. Friends do that, especially the good ones. It's just all sides need to be viewed before assumptions are made in haste.

I wear starched button down shirts, wranglers that stack a little, Tony Llama boots and I have a Stetson, and I dress exactly like most of the people I run with.. I can saddle and ride a horse, I have even done some penning. I guess I am a pretender...LOL
