I to am still a pants wearer as I don't think that a full-time kilted pastor woud fly around these parts.

from Chicago. Lack of money should not be a problem. Those that used to have it have spent it all on kilts and accessories. So, most of us have no money because of kilts.

I should see if I can talk my pastor into wearing a kilt.

Hello and another warm Celtic from Massachusetts.
I wear a kilt everyday, but not at work. Safety regulations require whole leg coverage, for which Levi 501's were designed. Besides, I would not want to hurt any of my kilts. Trousers as needed, pants very rarely.

Welcome, welcome.... many of us still wear pants. I do, and I own 8 kilts.
I teach usually one day a week kilted, but the rest of the time in trousers.
Check out the Forum and some of our fine sponsors. All are great some are quite affordable even for poor teachers and broke students

Welcome from Vancouver, BC!
I'd second noting stillwaterkilts.com, especially the thrifty kilts for about $30. Oh, and keep your eyes peeled here for people selling stuff they've "outgrown", or for kilts that have "stretched" on their dieting owners. Good people here!
All except me. I'm a jerk.

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys. I'll have to get my measurements as soon as I get a hold of a tape: I wear waist size 32 pants, but I wear them sort of low and don't know what the corresponding kilt size is. I have a feeling that a lot of the ones I saw secondhand in my price range would be a bit on the large side.
