Congradulations brother,
You have embarked on the greatest career in this country. (maybe second to relief pitcher in pro baseball) I will tell you after 17 yrs there is not many dull moments.
Some advice if you don't mind.
Find a good company officer that will take care of you, teach you, and mentor you.
Wear your scba
Train ,Train ,Train
keep a journal (wish I would have done this) you could write a book after 20 yrs
Look out for your other FFs
Remember you didnt start the fire.
If you lose control everyone around you will lose control.
This list could continue but maybe the best advice I could give you is LISTEN. Always listen when the senior FFs are talking. You will be amazed how much you can learn when your mouth is not engaged.
Stay safe
Everyone goes home
