Rob,
Ignore the question mark. We have no question that you are OK.

Rob,
Thanks for sharing your story. I lived in Las Cruces and attended NMSU and the Dona Ana Branch Community College from 1994-1999. My daughter was born there. We are looking forward to getting back for a visit in the near future.

I never cease to be amazed by the quality of the intellect and character that I find here. This is more than just a forum on kilts. It is a forum on life and I think we are exceptionally lucky to have such an interesting and diverse group willing to share their thoughts and opinions on just about anything. Bravo to you all.

Rob,
It was great to meet you at our kilt night last week, even better when we ran into each other at the Highland games. Well said brother, well said. My turn in life took a little longer and continues on, yours seems to be well on the way. And yes our loved ones seem to think there is something wrong with us when we come home and the first thing we do is slip on a kilt, but hey that's their issue.
Here is a bit of advice I will pass on to all writers; bounce it off others you trust. Few of us can sit down an write the G.A.N. or even compelling Sci-fi with out seeing if the track we are on is worth it. Garner a cadre of trusted advisors and periodically let them comment on the work. You might not like their comments, and you need not take their advice, but once in a while you will find a gem of an idea that you blew past that can really open a story up.
Life is about not how many breaths you take, but how many times your breath is taken away.ith:

Grant only you could play yourself, rubber chicken and all!
Kent, NMSU is really a good school despite its drawbacks I've made a fair number of friends who attended there over the years in the most unusual places.
I do have a small circle of people who I have read my work, two groups in fact, one for my fiction and one for my screenplays. I do post unedited first draft "fun" writing to my blog, link in my signature, just to keep writing during the time I am in school.
I know I can't just churn out product but I'm fine with that, hence in part the teaching gig, I can work for four maybe five hours writing in a day and not much more, I just have to do something else after that.

Glad to hear things are on rise for ya and that life is shining brighter!!! I love this forum too. I don't post much because I'm still learning about the ways of the kilt, but I do enjoy all the photos, random facts, and awesome kilt information on here. This is one of the few happy, up beat, supportive, and commraderie based forums I've ever seen, most forums/blogs are negative, mean, and all that, but I love that XMTS is all about community and caring. It gives me more courage to wear my kilt and enjoy all things Celtic!
SLAINTE!!!!
