Ditto. I want to personall remember my grandfather, who was a doughboy in France in 1917, and my father whose SeaBee service at Okinawa earned him a Purple Heart and a few other medals.
They actually removed a piece of Japanese shrapnell from my dad's neck just behind his right ear in 1999 a couple of months before he died from heart failure. Ha. That close to me not being here!
I thank God for all those who have gone to that country from whose bourne no traveller returns, who saved our country for freedom.
Too bad there aren't many like that anymore.
