    It's a muted/ancient variant of Lindsay, I believe. Some tartans really look better in the modern color scheme...

    At first impression I to thought skirt, then it mentioned leather straps, Kilt!

    If it is someone's family tartan I will be very careful not to "INSULT" it with rude comments, as should others.
