Another 5-6 weeks :/

well now i understand why folks get so anxious waiting on delivery of the kilt ,

i called hector Russell's in Glasgow to find out whats happening with my kilt, i bought it way back on the 25th February ..
i was "told" back then marton mills doesn't have enough of the Chisholm ancient hunting tartan so they would need to weave more material , i thought fair enough at least the material will be newer than most tartans
i was "told" that they wouldn't run any more till after easter then it would be the average 6-8 weeks to get the kilt made up ,everything seemed to be fine

now I'm being "told!!" that marton mills never let hector Russel know the fabric was available and now i`ll be waiting till some time in July before i get the much awaited kilt ,
i`d hope to have it by now you know to make sure everything ship shape for my friends wedding on July 24th
i reckon hector Russell `s is just trying to pass the blame here
it was alot of money to pay back then Ive a large family and lots of birthdays presents are bought at the start of the year if i knew the time scale was going to be what it was id have just paid in installments
ach well what else can you do eh

how frustrating! I'm sorry to hear it. It drives me crazy when I feel like I have to "babysit" things that I order.

That sort of thing will drive you up a wall but there's not much else you can do at this point but wait and hope that you've seen the last of the delays!

Thats why I have yet to deal with any kilt company outside the x-marks realm...
