I have a palliative treatment, although not curative for the jones.
1. Print out your favorite picture of yourself in a kilt you already own.
2. Go to a website that shows the tartan your new kilt is going to be coming in, and download that tartan jpeg, then print it out so that the tartan picture is big enough to cover the kilt in your other picture.
3. Trace the outline of your exisiting kilt from your first picture, transfer that outline to your tartan photo, and cut out an exact size replica of your existing kilt outline in the new tartan.
4. Paste the new tartan in existing kilt outline onto the existing kilt picture in the appropriate place.
5. Now, pour yourself a double of your favorite single malt and sit in your most comfortable chair and stair at your new kilt picture for hours or until you need a refill of the single malt.
6. Repeat #5 as needed.
At least by the time the damn thing arrives you should have had a steady buzz on for a couple months and you won't have to (be able to) run to the front door quite so spritely to sign for the package when it arrives.
Enjoy the JOnes.

10 Days to 2 Weeks!!!!!!!!!!
This starts my 12 week of waiting and I am going crazy.....the man on the phone said it would be another 10 days to 2 weeks.
AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Patience is virtue I know but I have not been blessed with it yet.
Does anyone have a time warp they are willing to loan.......(for those who have a longer wait I am sorry.)

Rev.

In some things one has no choice!
I had to wait 3 weeks for my kilted skirt (which arrived yesterday) so I can understand.
(Already thinking about the next Celtic addition so I can understand that to )

Peace be with you Brother! Since we try and live each day the way it was made, may I suggest a retreat of prayer and contemplation?
Perhaps deep in the woods with some dryflys and jigs?

I waited 9 months for a kilt once it was a deadly wait though once I got it everything was worth it.

try waiting 18 months for a kilt...!! I had the fabric in hand ready to send to a kilt maker and then got sent to India.... then had to send it to the kilt maker and wait for the 16-20 weeks for completion....
However, I have found the longer the jones, the sweeter the kilt when you finally strap it on.
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Hopefully my Carolina box-pleat will be here in time for Christmas. How far away is that?
