I like them since the wool seems to wick the skin dry. Cotton tends to hold the moisture on the skin.

I'll vouch for that. It's plenty steamy in Savannah, too and the wool breathes and wicks away moisture pretty well. I just stay away from my really thick, bulky hose and opt for some basic hose I purchased from a site that Puffer recommended: http://stores.channeladvisor.com/wbsocks/Kilt%20Hose/

The hose are very basic, and pretty thin... not what everyone is looking for in kilt hose... but they've been a really practical choice for daily summer wear here and I get a lot of use from them.
    :ootd:

    Makes perfect sense, really.

I have their ebay store saved. That's ironic!

Any ideas what colors would look good with OD green? I was thinking red would be kind of neat, but extremely.... Bright

Maybe Maroon? I kind of dislike mixing colors unless they're a dead match, i.e. OD green with bottle or lovat would look silly I think.

Sometimes different shades of a color can work together, but you really have to have them in hand and see them in person to know. And when they don't work... yuck! So you're probably right about staying away from the lovat or bottle green. I know you're not interested in brown, but a beige could work with the antique-ish brown shoes and the tan belt. Maroon could work, too, especially if you had some other detail that picked up that color.

I may just need to order a 4 pack from them. It's only 25.00$. Although, once I have those other colors, I'll need kilts to match..

Appears these are the available colors.

    CREAM
    NAVY
    BLACK
    LOVAT BLUE
    LOVAT GREEN
    BEIGE
    BROWN

About a month back I found a party on e-bay that was selling New Ausi

What color is your shirt? Since everything else you're wearing is basically neutral, you could inject some excitement into the outfit with a strongly colored shirt and matching hose. Burnt orange and dark red would be attractive foils to the olive and brownish tones.

I was planning on wearing a light tan shirt. Think Hawaiian shirt, minus the print. I do have a couple maroon shirts I could try and see if that works or not.

    Can't do burnt orange. I'd be supporting my father-in-law's team. That's a no-no.
