Volunteering Kilted

As many of you know I am a vollenteer Docent at the Royal BC Museum.

Here I am in in "The Pole Gallery" giving one of my talks.

When I go into the Museum I am usually greeted by "Here's Steve in his swooning attire".

I volunteer almost everyday in a variety of different positions at my children's school. My favorite one is without a doubt as a library assistant.

So there are 600 elementary school kids in Northern California that are aware of and accept the kilt as no biggie

I did make a bit of a splash yesterday as I wasn't feeling too well and had to help out a our Spring Faire, so I dressed in dockers and a polo shirt.

but seriously, Jamie, good on you for volunteering at your children's school. It's not only great for the school, it's great for your kids to see you doing it.

I volunteer on my local preserved railway line the Pontypool and Blaenafon Railway.

Usually it's in the ticket office or working in the on train buffet or the tea room and for these I am ALWAYS kilted.

Must get some photos taken!
