			Speaking of War Movies...

This may be a really stupid question, but is there a movie out there in movieland that depicts kilted Scottish Soldiers in a war this side of the 20th century?

Well yes there is, Tunes of Glory was done in 1960 and is a wonderful film well worth checking out.

About “Tunes of Glory”.Forgive the personal.
 Authentic and realistic situation.
I’ve been there, and been in the middle of that. I was Jock.
Granted fifty fears old, but things like that still happen.

					The Drum (1938)(USA title DRUMS)

Set in the India of the British Raj. Indians are plotting to overthrow their (KILTED) British masters. The only 'loyal' Indian is Prince Azim who tries to warn the British of the impending revolt by tapping out messages on the Drum of the title.

 Kilts, kilts and MORE kilts.

 Found a copy through Amazon.

I was watching "The Devil's Brigade" last night and it shows the Canadian troops arriving at the training base wearing kilts - and with a pipe band.

I always think of the kilted troops walking past the Sphinx in 'Lawrence of Arabia' It's just a small part, but I have always liked that movie. The inclusion of kilts makes it more enjoyable.

Yes, there were kilted squaddies in Lawrence, but they were part of the Palestine Campaign, specificially when Allenby was moving on Jerusalem.
