Thanks!
I want to thank all the SCHooligans who turned out for our first Kilt Night at The Tilted Kilt.............I'd say we had a great time! We were all glad that Greg got the ball rolling.
And thanks to the proprietor, Leroy Hardy, who made us feel quite welcome. He's anxious for us to meet there on a regular basis, so, in case some of you missed it, we're planning on the third Saturday of each month. I know that several of us are out of town on June 20, so it might be best if we began meeting in July.
I'd also like to thank Ina, President of The Scottish Society of the Desert, and husband Kevin, for bringing in some SSOD members who are not a part of XMarks. They swelled our numbers up to around 14, and provided some terrific entertainment. Rod was the master piper in full regalia who entertained the crowd.
As the evening waned, Will and I wandered outside, talked about kilts, took in the "eye candy", and entered into a lively conversation with three young ladies, one of whom proceeded to read our palms! We were both blown away by her assessments! And, of course, they were all fascinated to know what we had on under our kilts! Imagine that!
We called it a night around midnight, and are both looking forward to the next gathering of the SCHooligans.
Cheers!
John (Assistant Princial)
P.S. I'll post some photos soon.

Midnite???!!! I am getting old. Sorry we left early and missed the piper - I'm sure that the owner and staff were thrilled!
A good time with a good group of people. We'll certainly need to keep this on the calendar.

Question, why should they wonder what you had on under your kilts? If one of them could read your palms, she should have been able to tell the other two what you had on.

Midnight was a little too late for me and the Mrs as well. Had a great time and we both look forward to the next Kilt Night at the Tilted Kilt.

My first kilt night was everything I had hoped it would be and I had a great time putting faces on the names I have seen for so long. That was the first time I have been kilted anywhere outside the highland games. It was difficult getting out of the car but once I started it became easier. The first step is the hardest.
The food was good, several flavors of Guinness were on tap, the 'eye candy' was mesmerizing and the piper was a wonderful surprise.
Definitely we will be back!!

Great picture
Thanks for posting the pic, Lee. I'll add a few more when I get the chance. Going out kilted tonight with the ladies. It's a bit breezy tonight, so they may be in for a treat! I sure had fun Saturday night. Haven't heard from young Will, so I hope he made it home okay. Can't wait for the next one!
Cheers!
John

I survived!
Yep, I made it home in one piece . . . then promptly left town and got back to a busted modem (dang Verizon).
Had a GREAT time last week! Good conversation, good looking kilts, good looking waitstaff . . .
IF all goes well, I'll be down there on the 20th, but have no issues waiting till July to start things up officially. Gibbs, you better be there. Hate to send the Principal to detention . . .
John, Bruce, Greg, Lee, Steve . . . absolute pleasure meeting you guys! And Steve, I'm up for a meeting at the 29 Palms Inn, too!
