My bobolishious in the original movie Braveheart tartan is perfect, fits wonderfully, looks great, and was turned around after the ebay auction in just a little over a month, customed to my rather substantial size. Mine came in under $200US shipped, then I got a Paypal discount of that. The most comfortable kilt I own. Communication was great. I would order from him again, although I would wish he would set up a direct web site for his business instead of constantly having to go through ebay communications to get custom work done with tartans that he does not list on ebay.
I would, however, buy from him again, as he is the best value for the buck going right now for a nice machine sewn kilt. However I have two new handsewn kilt mistresses (and I mean that in the most positive way) whose work I am falling in love with and must say that I think I am turning toward only handsewns for the future. despite the added cost. Guess that means I am becoming a kilt snob. Oh well.
