the only way I can respond to this is
I bought 2 dvd's a few years back. "instrument of war part I&II"
even since then, seeing the brave men who played under the most...shall we say "stressful" conditions, along with the History of great players...I took the music more seriously.
to put it into perspective.
at the "firefighter combat challenge" event I played Friday.
the PM and I checked tuning of our chanters ( to make sure I was in tune w/ them)
I noticed my high hand was a little shrill compared to his. I said as much , and was told " it's not that bad , don't worry bout it"
I looked at him and said " sorry , but I'm gonna worry bout it" I then got out the tape , fixed it up in about 2 mins and checked again. it was spot on. and I FELT alot better about it.
it will always be about the music for me
but thanks for keeping me in check
