    Matt -

What are you wearing for a watch fob? Looks like some kind of cross.

It's the medallion I received when I was inducted into the Guild of Tartan Scholars. You can see a good photo of it in the upper right of my homepage.

    New Taste of Scotland coverage

"My Town Franklin" has put up some coverage of this year's Taste of Scotland festival, including lots of good pics and some YouTube videos. There is a video of the sheep dog demo, plus a long one of the parade.

Here is a link to their Picasa photo album, where you can see lots more photos.

    Some samples for you:

Me, waiting for the parade to begin.

Probably the most crowded you'll find downtown Franklin during the year.

Lot's more photos in their web album!

    More Festival Coverage

A local photographer has a web site called "Beautiful Franklin" and has got a photo gallery up full of Taste of Scotland Photos from 2009.
    http://www.beautifulfranklin.com/Scotland_09.html

Some highlights of my favorites... (these may be a little large).

The boy scout color guard leading the parade (you may see someone familiar in the background).

    My older two children.

    Hey, doesn't he look familiar?

Another familiar face -- it's Turpin!

My lovely wife and four children (number four is in the stroller she's pushing).

    The knobby knee contest!

The local SCA group did a demo of medieval combat. You'll see my family on the sidelines watching.

Lots more pics in the gallery!
