XMTS Hose special for forum members-Update
Hey Gang-
I received Jamie's samples today, so that is now covered. I want to cover a couple of things that have been addressed in the other threads-
1.) Since their are 2 different weaves of this tartan, there are 2 slightly varying colors. Jamie asked if we could find a medium to match both, but honestly...The colors are minute shades off from each other, and instead of having something that wouldn't match either weave 100%-I'm going to match each respective pair of hose to what weave the individual has. If you have a Wool XMTS kilt-You'll get a matching pair. If you have a PV XMTS, you'll get a matching pair. If we could keep these samples, it would be EXCELLENT for future purchases. If not, I'll deal with JAmie for a swatch as the need arises.
Having both swatches will let us dye the wool nicely to match, so when the time comes, with your measurements-indicate your tartan weave.
2.)I think I saw someone asking "What they'd be getting". If you search "Skye Highland Outfitters" in the search field, you can see the work that will be done. There are Diced and Argyll hose for viewing.
3.) If you are getting diced hose-You need to choose your 2 colors-Easy enough. If you are getting Argyll hose, keep this in mind. There are 5 colors. We are going to do a 4 color set. The 5th color can be your flashes color. I personally think you should do Dark blue and Grey diamonds with king's blue and white strip with yellow flashes.....But you can decide that for your own. We are willing to be flexible for you guys. PM if you need more detail on this. Thanks y'all-JOsh

link for the lazy...
Nice hose. I wonder what the interest would be for Maple Leaf Argyle hose after this particular hose run (pun, geddit?).

Josh,
I should note that the samples of XMTS tartan you have (and may keep) are:
The last 16 oz. wool run of the XMTS tartan
The most recent run of 16 oz. Poly Viscose XMTS tartan
Cheers

I don't know about the rest of you but I am having a hard time trying to figure out this description looking at the pictures on Josh's site.
Is there a possibility someone out there that Josh or someone else could post a close up of the Sky Island Argyle so we could get a visual?
Cheers

Grant,
As a white hose connoisseur I think you may be very interested in a special pair of kilt hose I can procure for you.
There is actually 4 different types of white yarn that are knitted together in an intricate pattern of Celtic knot work, but because the whites are so close in color it is virtually impossible to see the pattern.
But you will know it is there
They run only about $100
PM me if you are interested in purchasing a pair or two
Cheers
Jamie

Hey Gang-
I'll do my best to photoshop my idea and post it. The Isle of Skye Argylls are 6 color and are not the pattern that will look best with these hose. Hold tight-Pic coming soon!
