If you'd like, I could move the straps or alter the kilt for you. I'm a kiltmaker who lives about 20 minutes west of Danbury CT (in Mahopac NY). If it's just moving the straps, I could do that in about an hour. If it's altering the aprons, it takes longer, but I could do it for you promptly.

I suggest you take her up on the offer. One just doesn't move the straps, you have to move the correct ones: the buckle on the right side and the strap on the left side to be precise. Just a small move will make a big difference.

I agree with Kiltman; it's not a big job and it's not difficult but it has to be done right. I have done it for 4 of my kilts. Bonnie's offer is a good one.
