The type of shirt depends on the level of formailty you are trying to achieve. A solid polo is my choice for casual wear.

A solid polo or rugby, what's the diff, always looks good no doubt, but for variety and a classy look, informal, one needs a little change up. I thought the Cabela shirt might look good?

I have some of the Cabela shirts and like them. I've seen many similar shirts at clan tents with the clan logo embroidered on them. They look very sharp.
Also I sometimes wear polo shirts, or assorted pull overs-long and short sleeve, t-shirts and I also like the way the 'commando' sweaters look with the kilt.

So, Cabela's is good stuff, I'll have to check it out!
Mock turtlenecks with a complimentary color lood really good as well! Cooler weather obviously!
Anyone know who makes the nicest embroidered polo or golf shirts?

Cabela's does offer good clothing. I have lots of shorts (gasp) and shirts from them. Been ordering from them ever since their first catalog, which was photocopied on plain paper and stapled in the corner. ![Laughing](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
No one has mentioned this tidbit, but consider your color choices carefully. To get your best look (and to get the most versatility from your kilt) choose a shirt that compliments the kilt and matches your socks/hose.
