Opinions?
I recently ordered a phillabeg in Crawford modern with black hose, a black sporran, and a black sleeveless shirt. What color flashes would you recommend? And did I order too much black?

I think red flashes would look nice with some lovet green hose, or even a bottle green... so to answer your next question Jonny Cash.. just a tad too much black. Remember colour is your friend, and welcome to the board.

I'll take that into consideration. I am looking at other accessories later, so I will consider more color. I do plan to wear my philly with my Boy Scout uniform shirt on special occasions. That will add a great deal of color with the badges and all, and the boys should get a kick out of it. But that is no the only reason I bought it.
Maybe I'll save the all black look for a rock concert!

Here is a good in house link to get you started on how you can wear a kilt.

too much black?
I don't think it's too much black.
Here's my husband (and my daughter and me) with all black accessories.

Go with red flashes and you won't look drab

Aye. That is the look I was working towards. But I think I want something more colorful for some occasions too.

Just my personal taste, but for the Crawford modern I'd probably choose dark green hose with white flashes. Unfortunately, white is not a very common color for flashes.
