I'd go with the Disney Rob Roy too, but if you want something family friendly that hardly anyone has seen, how about "Legend of Loch Lomond" www.imdb.com/title/tt0311431/
It was originally filmed in large format (IMAX) but if your theater has digital projection equipment, it is avalible in DVD format. I have a copy of it, it's a pretty good film about the legendary origin of the song 'Bonnie Bonnie Banks o'Loch Lomond' with plenty of kilts, piping, song, ghosts, a little history and fantastic scenes of Scotland. As with most older IMAX films, it's only about an hour long, but if you use the DVD you could have some fun with the sing-a-long feature in the 'extras'.
Order of the Dandelion, The Houston Area Kilt Society, Bald Rabble in Kilts, Kilted Texas Rabble Rousers, The Flatcap Confederation, Kilted Playtron Group.

Sorry. I am unfamiliar with a "Scottish" Gunga Din. I didn't realize Thuggee was a problem there. ith:

No matter what movie is chosen, we will be there! I think it's a great idea!

Why must it be only one film? Why not a marathon of all the titles thus far suggested?
Yeah, we might try to do at least a double-feature. It will be somewhat dependent on our calendar and what day we set aside for this... it's in Spring which is our busiest time of the year.

We'll count on it! We'll need to find out if the Sand Gnats are going to do a Scottish night at the ballpark, too. We won't want to conflict with that.

I was going to say the same thing about it. I'd give a very big "no" to Rob Roy. I agree with Tunes of Glory, but it's such a psychological film; not very up-beat there toward the end. It's still a good choice though. I think Mrs. Brown is a very good idea, and the one I'd choose. Of course, if you like musicals, there's always Brigadoon!
