Thanks Clan and Lady M. The only real work I do is IT - unfortunately I am not passionate about my job.
My hobbies on the other hand...if I could make a living out of any one of them I would be ecstatic!
Flying (32 hours into my Private Pilot)
Budo (kenjutsu, iaido, sojutsu and naginata-do)
Reading - so many books...so little time!
Guitar
Knitting, Spinning and unfortunately...shearing
Native American Flute
Hammered Dulcimer (just got into this in the last year)
Riding my motorcycle
Playing with my kids (three daughters, 13, 5, and 2)
Former hardcore gamer (Everquest, EQ2, WoW)
Geology - now just a rock and fossil hound
C.A.S (Cowboy Action Shooting)
Playing with my dog...
Trying to get my wife interested in any of the above! (well, she does play with the kids )
My wife said I need another hobbie like I need a hole in the head - but you only live once so you might as well make the most of it!

Last job I found myself doing the surgical recovery of transplant tissues. Now I am a glorified receptionist and a student.

Update: just mark me "unemployed"
Well, I really need to update mine. Because of the economy & loss of contracts, the security firm I worked for had to cut loose a number of employees.
I was kept on but as of mid-May, for all intents and purposes I was "unemployed". As of July 01st I have become officially "unemployed".
This works while my daughter is out of school for summer break, but I really need to find something else (can't get anymore kilts w/o the green $$$ )!

This "unemployment" thing seems to be an epidemic . . .
I have been in/around/under/behind/between (insert fave preposition here) the medical field in some aspect or other for 18 years. The past 5 were in the clinical research field, conducting trials and monitoring them for major pharma companies. Then I moved to medical writing because it was stable (had been a contractor, prior). And then it happened. Cutbacks, etc.
Now I'm in the desert in CA looking for something. Thankfully I have fallen into the healthcare simulation field and still picking up odd local research jobs. Nothing steady. Any one looking for someone with scads of experience in the medical world without a degree? Send 'em my way! I'll move anywhere! Also do voice overs, pr/adverts, general "make sure stuff is right" kind of work . . .
Actually, part of my work right now involves the application to the MEDEX program at U of Washington . . .
