Not only are you a lucky guy, your wife is a very smart woman; she knows how to keep you where she wants you.

Be sure to give her a big hug and thank you. Sounds like a wonderful evening. How was the performance?

Lady M--that scene was hillarious!!!!!
The play I saw was a local community theatre (I'm a fan of supporting local theatre). They didn't stray too far, although I thought at times they rushed a bit. The costumes were 'updated' to current military garb--not so to my taste, but all-in-all, a good performance and a very fun evening.
No pics however--the notice said photography wasn't allowed so we left the camera. In hindsight, they only wished us not to take pictures during the performance, so we could have taken some before and after--note to self ;)
"Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing. "
"Thou hast it now: King, Cawdor, Glamis, all,
As the weird women promised; and, I fear,
Thou play'dst most foully for't."
Ah...what a great play!
Yes I DO know how lucky I am

You are a lucky guy.
I once liver in the Detroit area. Tell me who/what organization is doing Shakespeare in the Park.
I'll admit when I left Detroit 33 years ago there wasn't much of that or maybe I missed something,

My wife supports, nay encourages, my kilt wearing, as do my kids!
Blessed, I am, real blessed...

My wife and I did the same thing last year, Detroitpete. We saw Macbeth in a botanical garden in Steamboat Springs, CO. Local Community Theater put it on and it was grand. I wore my Black Stewart to the play as it is close to the Macbeth tartan. What a great way to see/experience Shakespeare. You are lucky indeed.
