I second the Aztec Camera endorsement, and am also a big fan of Big Country. While I don't believe that any of the members of Big Country were born in Scotland, I know that Stuart Adamson grew up in Dumferline, and have always enjoyed the rocking Celtic sound of of their early albums (The Crossing, the Wonderland EP, Steeltown and The Seer). They were a VERY underrated band.
