Another Triple Kilt Pin Effort
Wore my USA Kilts U.S. Army tartan in semi-trad to work Friday. Have been wearing the U.S. Army kilt pin from Alexis Malcolm with it.
But noticed the WWII Victory Medal wreath laying on my dresser top and had an idea. Added the Air Corps wings to the center of the wreath above the sword kilt pin.

Could be straighter, was a last minute idea. I liked the extra since I do wear the Army tartan in honor of my father's service as a fighter pilot in War 2.
Kinda fun to play around and develop a slightly different look. Didn't get any comments at work or around town. Me kilted is a yawner to the locals now. Did have one guy at the post office hollar out, "Beautiful!! I'm Scottish too."

Very nice and fitting combination Ron. Have you thought of getting an RAF sweetheart brooch (small enamelled RAF wings) to add to it. There are some crackers on ebay at the minute.

Aye John, thanks.
I do have a pair of authentic (at least purchased many years ago) sweetheart RAF wings but they're pretty small, maybe an inch wide at best. Maybe could add them to my RAF tartan kilt.

It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

I have thought more than once about 'multiple' kilt pins. When I was at the Harpenden Highland Gathering, I noticed that many (over half) of the pipers and drummers wore more than one kilt pin. They all wore a uniform pin, but many had an extra pin. Something about a souvenir from one event to be worn at the next. Anyway, I think I will give it a try.
