As I mentioned to you on the other thread I mainly use tie bars to double and hold the extra length of the tie (being that traditional kilts have a much higher rise than modern trousers)
I do have several tie tacks from various jobs or had been gifted
The only tie tack I wear is this one (I believe it was originally meant as a lapel pin)

They are California's state bird, they happen to be my favorite bird, and when I go walking in the Los Gatos foothills near my house I often come across groups of them scurrying about with their distinctive "Chi-cago" call.
They are utterly charmingly little birds and I like wearing this little token of being a proud Californian.
