I have several pairs of the brown shoes almost exactly like the ones that you have illustrated above,made by Hoggs. I am wearing a pair now, as I type. The only problem with "commando" soles is that if you have been walking in a spot of mud and then forget,as I do often, to take them off at the door, it looks as though a tractor has gone across the carpet!

Probably a little more reasonably priced too

Mind you, it hadn't occured to me, but perhaps he even paid a deposit?!
