Great looking kilt, Merry Christmas. As to hose for the Isle of Skye I wear purple, lovat green, blue, black, and brown with my Isle of Skye. I'd say one of my favourite pairs is from the Hawick hose co. they have a check top on them. I got them at a local tartan shop at 50% off

    Congratulations on the kilt.

Thanks, McMurdo! Yeah, I like those styles of hose. They look really good with the Skye tartan, as you demonstrate.

great pic.I think as you said brown leather sporran would look great just don't put it up soo high to the belt. I'm a piper and we're pretty picky about highland dress when we see that just my point of view

Yeah...I wouldn't have had it so high, but I had to make due with a belt I had on hand. (Though, I am used to wearing belts high.) I'm having to get some good leather later on anyway, so I figure I'll get the leather for the sporran while I'm at it. I may even look at leather to possibly make my own brown sporran, as I do a lot of leather work.
