Kilted w/beret
On a hat search recently (I love hats), I found a very cool blog by a guy in New Zealand who is a beret freak. Loved his blog, so I bought my wife and I a beret from him. They arrived last week and they are indeed VERY nice! So, when it's cool enough, I'll be oot and aboot kilted w/beret. Anyone else here ever worn a beret while kilted?

I think it's part amusing and part amazing that on the internet there's a niche to be found for everyone.
And here we are.

I agree, the internet has a niche for everyone. But because I'm not of the "traditional" school of kilt I posted for 2 reasons:
1) I'm wondering if anyone wears a beret while kilted
2) To give kudos to Dann the writer/beret freak who lives in New Zealand who seems a very cool guy, and who provides outstanding service and a VERY nice product for a reasonable price.

Jamie's hat collection must rival Hamish's Kilt Kollection.
I suspect he's a moderator of a hat website on the side.

There have been times when I traced the decline of Western civilization to Jack Kennedy's decision to go sans chapeau at his inauguration. Not the most solid theory of civilizational collapse, I'll admit, but one I think about from time to time.

Our sax player wears a paisley fez during our gigs now and again. Great hat! Now if I can only get him to go kilted!

At the coffee shop I hang out at, we every so often have various Friday's: Fountain Pen Friday, Tools of the trade Friday, etc. One of the most successful was Beret Friday. I had more compliments on the beret and the Kilt, I could not believe it. Just wish we had a Kilt Friday besides me.
