GREAT PHTOTS! Looks like more fun the Sommerfest in Milwaukee. Thanks for sharing. What a beautiful Wisconsin day. I can't believe I didn't see a Packer or Badgers shirt.

Those are some great photos, hope you had a good day, you really can tell the difference between the different re-enactor groups cant you?

Is it usual for people to be wandering about the place at these affairs armed? I quite understand that a broadsword, or an SLR is not everyday wear, but it is certainly different to what we are used to over here at a Highland show. Yes we do get some and I think they are getting more usual, but I am not quite sure what our local constabulary would think of knife throwing competitions! Looks as though you were all having fun, which is the whole idea!

Yes, it is very common for people to show up (at lest at the Games I've been at) to carry swords and knives. Personally, I think it's really stupid. To clarify, though, the guy with the rifle in the first photo is a veteran and a reenactor. And the knife throwing was done very safely and supervised by professionals.

Hey Greg...if the fella in the Black Watch is a good reenactor why is he smoking a filter? He should be smoking a "straight" like a Chesterfield* or a Lucky.
Accuracy! We demand accuracy!
