People shell out $160 for socks, so why is $125 for a polo shirt out of the question?

Too expensive for me as well, just wondering why the disdain for one and not for the other.

Does the term "More money than sense" ring a bell? Some will pay almost anything because of the name. I've always wondered why....My buddy has a $5000+ Tag Huear, my $120 Eco Drive seems to keep time just fine.

Because the Argyll sock (which I'll assume you're referring to) have $160 of work put into them. These polo shirts are probably made in a sweatshop for 60¢.
