Military Kilt Help
Long time reader, first time poster. So i need some help from those kilted warriors out there in their infanite wisdome. I have been looking online for a military print kilt. I like the ones on sportkilt and kamokilt. However, i am active duty US Air Force and no one seems to have the new ABU style fabric to make me a kilt. They all have marine prints and i have even found the new Army ACU digital print, but the USAF uses a different style. I dont want to offend my Army brethren and wear "just something close", cause if you are active duty you know the difference. I may have to just settle on the old style woodland tiger stripe style. Does anyone know where, if possible, i can get a reletively inexpensive one handmade? (inexpensive but not cheap and will fall apart the first time i wash it) Does anyone have the fabric to do one or if i sent a brand new pair of uniforms is it possible to do some creative sewing and make one? Thank you all for your time.

I just happen to have almost 8 yards of this Digital Tiger Stripe Camo fabric sitting in my shop.
I don't list it as a stock fabric on my website because I've only made 4 Kilts from this fabric and don't have enough call for it to keep it in stock.
But if you would like a Kilt please contact me either through my website listed on the top advertiser banner or directly via

I wear the kilt because: Swish + Swagger = Swoon.

I knew this was the right place to ask!!
Wizard: I love your site but the military dont pay me enough to afford some of your kilts.
Zardoz: i might have to order the fabric and see if someone locally is wise in the art of kilt making.
Thanks guys!

I doubt that you'd find anybody that will make you one for cheaper than the Wizard. I bought a Sportkilt ACU pattern Commando Kilt (I'm Army). It's not a bad product, but if I were to do it again, I'd have gone to Steve (The Wizard) at Freedom Kilts!!! It cost me $159 thru Sportkilt....Steve's version appears to have more and deeper pleats and just be overall better quality (made to order I believe). I'd definitely spend the extra $28 for a custom kilt (Steve's cargo kilt runs about $187 USD).
