The massed bands led the March of the Clans into the arena.

  Taking the Salute

  The Maple Leaf

  Young Scotts

Following behind the Chief of Clan Borthwick and his cousin, with a Turnbull flying his banner further ahead.

  Clan Riddell

  Clan Nesbitt / Nisbet

  Clan Home

To march around the arena to the rousing music of the massed bands, following behind the Stars and Stripes and the Maple Leaf, and in the footsteps of Chiefs of other clans, as the proud representative of Clan Cunningham, to listen to the rousing applause, to receive shouted words of encouragement from people in the watching crowd when they recognise your surname on your placard, to hear Cunningham called out by compere Alistair Hutton, what an atmosphere, for me this was the pinnacle of Homecoming Scotland 2009. This final shot at the end of the March of the Clans as we stand still while the band conclude by playing Highland Cathedral.
I'd never before had the opportunity to represent my clan in an International Clan March and this was a truly proud and emotional moment to savour for many years. Thats all for now folks, will post a third and final picture thread from the Muster tomorrow evening.

It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.
