Upon saying that - I'm not keen on a lot of the big teams.
I have only one Jambo friend... and he doesnt like the attitudes of a lot of the Hearts fans. Although - Alex Salmonds a big Hearts fan so it shows they're not such a bad team
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

A man after my own heart! Shinty and Rugby are my two sports. (Though I've been wangled into playing basketball with some friends who want to get back in shape.)

As far as footie, I don't really follow it but my family were so Rangers mad I made a point of picking Dundee United as my team. It meant when people inevitably asked who I supported I could say DUFC and not have to worry too terribly much about league tables or getting stabbed.

    Up Aberdeen!

Though I really only support them because back in the '70s when I was in town AFC ripped off the Harley-Davidson bar-and-shield logo. I'm sure they don't do that now, but I used to have one on a cap I wore regularly. Long since disappeared, sadly...

Keano was a great player and knew how to captain a team on the pitch.

No, no, we're discussing the "football" where players actually use their feet

I'll never understand that one. All other sports that use football (soccer, rugby, Aussie rules footy) have most players able to kick the ball during play, yet the one that is now know world wide as football only has one player touch the ball with their feet.......I guess handball was taken

    22 grown men kicking a pig's bladder round a field -

and they let them have wives -

and they let them produce dhildren.

If this kind of sport is going to be done, it should be in the privacy of their own homes, behind locked doors and not inflicted on everybody on national television.

    Regards

Chas - who will never have Sky

According to the poll I'm the only one with any taste! Mon the Hibs. Saying that I did put money towards the 16th Bn Royal Scots memorial at Contalmaison, along with my Dad who's a Jambo. The Scottish stonemasons who built it did a fine job.
