That is a very fine looking tartan. It will go well with your denim jacket.
I do like the brownish tartans, I got to have one some day.

Back in 1974ish I was stationed at RAF Honington and was the Scout Leader (Air Scouts). David Croft lived in Honington village opposite the local pub 'The Fox'. Most of the Dad's Army episodes were filmed in Thetford and Thetford Forest (5 miles away). On one occasion, the script called for an encampment of Sea Scouts in the background. The props department had acquired a number of ex-army 6 man 'Patrol' type ridge tents, but nobody knew how to put them up. David Croft approached our Station Commander. The only person that he knew would be able to put up a patrol tent was me. I was summoned and dutifully dispatched to Thetford Forest where I supervised the erection of the tents. They fed me bacon and egg sandwiches for the rest of the day and my 'payment' was playing one of the sea scouts. If you ever see the episode, I am in a navy blue jersey with the sea scout logo across my chest; I walk out of one tent and into another about 10 yards away. Thats it - my moment of glory.

Oh, and I think the tartan will make a really nice kilt.

    Regards

    Chas

First of all, get out of the way poor, honest, handsome Chas. (two out of three isn't bad male for self-desription!).

John this is beautiful!!!! Keep top half clothes lighter in hue or even better, the same tonal values. I'm going for tall and beefy here. Plaid as we all know can make you look broad across the...well, we need less egg shapes. Hey, I'm an artist, just trying to be helpful.

You just go ahead and wear the faithful denim jacket.

Bet it will be smokin' with air guitar...
