Welcome and, regarding tartans, wear whatever suits your fancy!

Be mindful, though, that by wearing a specific clan tartan you're sorta intimating that you'd like to be accepted into that clan. A chief could, in theory, not accept you but, hey, if you've just doled out the dosh to buy their kilt, it'd be pretty rum stuff if you got ticked off for wearing their colours!

It depends on your take on the kilt. It can either be an item of clothing with historical roots or merely a fashion statement. It's a free country in most of the places we're posting from, feel free brother/sister/whoever you are and wherever you're from!
