There was always someone at the Scottish Tartans Museum tent.


House of Gordon won the best Clan tent and their women won the Haggis Hurl!


Before coming to the Festival, the suggestion was given to the conveners to use the War Cry, ‘Zachary Mor’ at the Parade of Clans at their respective festivals. Which I was pleased to do and may have been the first to do so.

Here’s the info on Zachary Mor that I received. Zachary Mor MacCallum was the 5th Laird of the MacCallum/Malcolm Clan. He was married to Jean Campbell, the Duke of Argyle's daughter. He was a noted swordsman - as our Clan histories prove out, and the histories (more than one) that relates the story of Zachary Mor meeting in single combat with Alasdair MacCholla MacDonald, a.k.a. "The Devastator," "Colkitto," and "The Red Handed Horse Knight."
