I have a pair or standard brogues (Oxfords) and a pair of buckle shoes that I polish a great deal. they do me just fine and I have no grave need or anything else.

I have four pair of brogues, which I wear at various times, one pair as often as not, and the other pairs as stated...
Formal Black tie events Mess Brogues (Not very often)

Semi Formal evening wear Ghillie Brogues (Not too often)

semi formal day wear Oxford type Brogues (Quite often)

And my favourite Doc Marten Brogues (Most of the time) ultra comfortable.

One of the rare occasions wearing the mess brogues, at the Clan Ball at the Gathering, I am standing next to my Missis, my Clan Chief is at the other side of the Clan Standard.

You both look grand with matching tartan in your outfits. My girlfriend doesnt mind wearing a bit of matching tartan to myself - although never as a primary piece of clothing and never to formal wear sadly
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Think these would look good with a semi-formal outfit?

Paul, that's definitely the right idea, although I'm not 100% convinced that that's really the right style. The shoe looks to have a fairly long and pointed toe; I'm not sure that they would look as elegant worn with the kilt as they might worn with trousers. I think a more blunt toe-- rounded or square-- might look slightly more appropriate. Since it is hard to make a judgement call from a photograph, I'd suggest you try them on with your kilt to see how they actually look.
That said, I did like you green shoes...
