Hello Kilted Komrades,

I have a couple of beautiful Blackthorn sticks (for the use of) and a durty great cudgel made from the Blackthorn. I know this is a particularly Irish thing, however, I have read certain accounts that state the 'Stick' was taken to Amerikay by the Ulster-Scots and that it was called the 'Slae Stick' (Sloe Stick, i.e. Blackthorn) by the Ulster-Scots. I have heard, seen, read nothing to the like in a Scottish context and I would like someone to fill me in on this if possible.

Thanks!
