My experience with Heritage of Scotland was a nightmare! I ordered an 8-yard, made-to-measure, medium weight kilt from them and recieved a five-yard, off-the-peg "casual" kilt. I was furious and contacted them, and was told "medium" means "casual" kilt, and they would not give me a refund on a custom-made kilt.(which, of course, this was not - there weren't even any basting threads on the pleats)
After numrous calls, e-mails and threats, they finally agreed to refund only a portion of my money. I still had to pay $60 duty on the kilt I had returned.
In my opinion, they are dishonest, and anyone doing business with them or any of their other stores should beware. Heritage of Scotland is owned by The Gold Brothers, who also own several other businesses.
