Tweed Sporran and flashes?

Not sure how I feel about matching tweed flashes to tweed kilt (jury's still out on that) but I don't think I'd match flashes to jacket with a tartan kilt... Perhaps with a solid color kilt (ie saffron or dark green for instance) it might work.

I would absolutely wear a sporran with a tweed front with or without the matching jacket. I think it would look great!

No typo. I did mean matching flashes to the kilt looks dreadful. I should have added----- so does matching flashes to the jacket too!

Well I don't always wear flashes, I dislike tartan flashes and I certainly would not wear tweed ones. When I do wear flashes, I am not too sure how I go about choosing the colour, it is well, sort of random(ish), but to be fair I do seem to end up with dark blue ones quite often.I have more than a few colours to choose from and I really do not make a special effort to match them with anything.

Thanks for the insights. I still think I will make them both, but will likely wear them at different times rather than together.

Jock, I like a little color in my flashes in general. I little contrast just works better.

I'd have to see the sporran to judge whether I like it or not. I am glad to see you thinking outside the box a bit and look forward to seeing the end result.
