I don't golf, but I'd still like to welcome you to X Marks the Scot from Dickson, Tennessee!
Never approach a bull from the front, a horse from the rear, or a fool from any direction.

I like the idea of a belt bag. I usually keep that sort of thing in my club bag, but it might come in handy to have something there. I'll try it next time I'm out.

No sporran when I golf kilted. Have never worn one (a sporran) on the course, it just seems it would get in the way. Not saying that it would impact my game one way or the other anyway, cause I'll face it, it's always a suprise out there. Plus my golf bag seems to have about 6000 pockets.

I wear the small belt bag on my left hip (out of the way of my swing since I am a rightie) to carry tees, extra ball or two, ball markers, cash for snacks/drinks/tip for the cart girl, and a divot tool, as well as the scorecard and pencil. Perfect fit, and very convenient. This is all stuff I usually have distributed about the several pockets in my pants or shorts if golfing non-kilted.

Thanks for Golf in Kilt advice.
Thanks to all for advice and the welcoming comments. I ended up wearing my sporran and it didn't get in the way. In fact, It was one of my best rounds of the year! Thanks again.

Welcome!
As for the golfing questions, I could not answer them. My friends and I have been banned from almost all California and Indiana golf courses permanently.
People get upset when you play full contact.
